My NDT journey began in 1989 and expanded to 1997 during my years in the United States Air Force. I joined the United States Air Force (USAF) in 1989 and attended USAF NDT Technical Training School at Chanute Air Force Base in Chanute, Illinois. While at Chanute, I studied Non-Destructive Inspection (NDI) and obtained Level II Certifications in Liquid Penetrant (PT), Magnetic Particle (MT), Eddy Current (ET), Ultrasonics (UT), Radiography (RT), Visual Testing (VT) and Spectrometric Oil Analysis (OA). Between 1990 and 1997, I performed NDT on F-15 Fighter Jets, B-52 Bombers and KC-135 Military aircraft and a variety of Jet Engines.  I was deployed during 1990 & 1991 with my squadron’s F-15 aircraft to Saudi Arabia to fight in the Gulf War during the Desert Shield and Desert Storm Military Campaigns and was awarded many medals for my service as a Gulf War Veteran.
  
After serving 8 years in the USAF enlistment, I acquired my first ASNT Level III certification in 1997 and I am now a certified ASNT NDT Level III in the methods of RT, ET, UT, PT, MT, & IRRSP X-ray.  I am also a certified NDT Level III to meet the requirements of NAS-410, SNT-TC-1A and CP-189. My additional Qualifications include Composite Bondtesting, Temper / Nital Acid Etch, Spectrometric Oil Analysis & Visual Testing.

During 27 years of NDT service, I have had the privilege to work with many great companies in the industry, such as: NASA, Space X, Boeing, Sikorsky, Northrup Grumman, Gulfstream Aerospace / General Dynamics, Pratt & Whitney, Rolls Royce, Allied Signal / Honeywell, GE Inspection Technologies and Hellier NDT just to name a few.

 

I am currently an instructor for ASNT Columbus, Ohio. Not only do I pride myself in providing my clients with the best NDT service possible, but I am also proud of my Awards & Accomplishments in the ASNT which include:

 

• ASNT Award for the Advancement of Women in NDT – October 2016, 

• Hellier NDT Award for Outstanding Level III Services and Technical Expertise 

• First Person to teach a Level III course at ASNT’s Training School “Center for Excellence” 

• First Woman to teach an ASNT Level III Course at ASNT Columbus, Ohio.
